Academy days

[Hi guys feel free to join in if you like with me and Zkin xD]

It would be a sunny day at the academy with a rainbow overhead... no actually it'd be storming on the outside and Ami would be sitting dismally as she watched raindrops landing on the window... and grew bored so she finally started giving them names and watching them race against one another.

Zkin would be staring out the window as well. Maybe he was enjoying the view. Maybe he was calculating the speed of the droplets. Maybe he was watching them race as well. He would glance at the daydreaming Orion before returning to his studies.

Ami would glance at Zkin and moved over to watch his raindrops. "I'm betting on this one," she'd say pointing to one of the larger droplets that was making it's way down. "I'll name it Walter." Very forthcoming isnt she?

Zkin would wake up from his world of thoughts to the sound of a woman's voice. "Huh? Bet what on who?" He'd look where Ami was pointing and scoff. "You gave the raindrop a name? Please..." He'd turn his attentinon back to his work, but not before muttering "...looked more like a Rachel to me..."

Amicitia stuck her tongue out and giggled. "Maybe it's Rachter?" she'd ask as she watched the raindrop slide. The woman was obviously... bored... so she'd abandon the raindrops the minute the named one slid off and went to peek at Zkin's work.

Zkin would be using rather archaic instruments in his study... Pencil and paper. The rodent never did like to do his important work on computers. From the complex lines sketched out on the paper, this was obviously something he had been working on for a long time. He'd notice your prying eyes and quickly slides it out of view before you can see any details. "Can I help you with something?" he says with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Amicitia nodded her head at Zkin, amused at how he moved his work away. "Yes I'm bored. Entertain me," she'd say as she sat down next to him, pulling one leg onto the chair to hug as she watched him. Such audacity! The woman would smile sweetly... the kind of smile a cat would wear when it had it's prey cornered.

Zkin would get rather quiet as he stared at the woman next to him. "E-Entertain you? You want me to entertain you? Why would you want me to entertain you? I-I'm not entertaining..." He'd try to keep his papers out of sight as best he could.

Ami would just lean forward. Either she had no sense of personal space or she just didn't really care. All the while she'd continue staring straight at him like how predators do. "Because I'm bored," she'd say quietly, the grin becoming wider.

Zkin would lean further away from Ami. His eyes would franticly search for a way out of the situation. "Uh... well... I-I really should be going now..." He would try and get up from his seat and quickly walk away, but forget to take his papers with him.

Ami would watch Zkin leave with amusement, noticing he left his papers behind. She'd wander over to the desk to take a look at them, a glancing look unless they proved to be more interesting... like some sort of plot or something.

Zkin would exit the room, leaving his papers for anyone to see. The paper would be covered in perpendicular and paralell lines, as well as many curves and circles scattered throught the sketch. If you were to look long enough, it would start to remind you of a woman's face. A very familiar face... Was Zkin drawing YOU all this time?

If it looked like an engineering diagram, Ami wouldn't really see her face there but if it looked like a proper art work then she would. Either way, she'd just shrug and pack the papers with her to go hunting for Zkin.

[I swear I am not lying when I tell this tale:

I was reading: you know you're a chemist when you totally missed the point of Joon Mo Kang’s drawing and notice that the carbon has 5 bonds. So my physicist friend and I, curious, went to look this drawing up.



The only thing we could see for 10 whole minutes was all the errors in chemistry placed here and we speculated if it was a drawing to show bad chemical drawing... until I stood up to get water and looked back.

I showed it to a group of 7 other science majors... only one saw it right away, the rest all had issues with the bad chemistry drawing and only saw a huge molecule..

So if Zkin's drawing can pass off as an engineering schematic.. Ami totally wouldnt see it.]

Zkin's papers would look like an engineering diagram, although an odd one with it's similarity to a face. Regardless, he had accidentally abandoned it after working on it for some time. He'd stop for a moment not far from the door when he realized that it was left behind, but then shake his head and continue onward. He wanted to get as far from the strange female as possible.

Ami would slowly move after him and when she saw him, she'd wave. "Hey! You left this behind," she'd say waving the papers around. She still didnt realize it was a drawing of her xP

Zkin would keep moving away, perhaps not hearing Ami's shouts from behind him. He could be ignoring her, or he could be distracted. At any rate, he wouldn't respond. He'd just keep making tracks.

Ami would speed up in order to catch up with him. She wasn't the best at athletic abilities but she could move at a decent pace. She'd still be waving the papers.

Zkin would finally look back to see Ami hurrying towards him. He would wonder if he should start running himself until he notices his paper in her hand. He stops and turns toward her, keeping his eye on his drawing.

Ami would wave and catch up to him. "You left these there," she'd say thrusting the papers into his hands. Probably really oblivious to what they were anyway xD

Zkin would look at the paper in his hand, then at the woman in front of him. Was there a resemblance? He didn't take the time to think about it. "Erm... Yes, I believe I did..." He'd start to walk away again, but then stop when he remembered to say... "Umm... Thank you." He'd then continue on his way with his papers in hand.

Ami would happily just pass it off to him before wandering off on her own since classes were going to start soon... until she remembered who's class she was taking and she'd scowl slightly at that
