Too many accounts, not enough actual people!

This isn't an away message, more of a note as to how few I've seen. I've noticed this quite a bit. I started with the group quite a while back. When I first saw the site I noticed somewhere around 23 people signed up. And now everyone has disappeared. What happened, and is it possible to remove the accounts which are no longer active? It's confusing sometimes and effects the way that people make their choices when they look here to sign up. We don't want to give them the wrong idea if there are only 9 active members. Just an idea, clean up the stragglers. If they aren't here, then they aren't here.

Well, there is a chance these people do log in from time to time to simply see how we act as a continuity. Or there is a chance people have simply forgotten and might feel unwelcome if they come back. But at the same time I sort of agree. Maybe there should be a set login time? After three months in activity you are conisdered inactive?

I like agree but disagree. I like see your side of your thinking and totally see the other side of the thinking. I guess that is a Libra's fall.

it's true, and like in mot dreams, the number of accounts on a forum is greater than the actual number of active members. Some of our members simply cannot show up very often. But yes, we should clean out the roster, I will work on that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

The forums are ALWAYS greater. I don't think I have seen a single episode where they are not. Even if you think having people who roleplay in the dream and don't use the forums will even out those who sign up but don't roleplay, it doesn't work. XD It's sort of funny. Our roleplayers are our status symbol, not our Forums.

Even if that were the only problem involved it would be annoying, but my trouble is that some of the people on our forums made their last visit months ago. Don't get me wrong, second chances are fair. But for the sake of clarity it would help to know who is actually in the group, and which of those are actually active

I am setting up a 3 month idle message so that people who don't log in for 3 months get an email.
Though there are cases where people are away for long periods of time. Some may even decide to join the group again.
They also still get the newsletters so they may like to keep up to date on things.

If you want to know who's active just look at the 'last logged in' and work your way down. If they are away for months at a time then you know they are inactive.

also, the crew roster more or less accurately keeps track of who's still with us. I do my best to keep it up to date. while some inactive members are listed (i will be removing them soon) the inactive ones are marked with a ~ symbol
