--------------- Form Response ---------------

01 - Character Name = Rake
02 - Character Age = 19
03 - Character Race = Human
04 - Rank = Cadet
05 - Position Applying For = Engineering
06 - Other =
07 - Agreements = I agree to be online/active at LEAST one day a week (Unless I give notice that I can't get online for that week), I agree to follow ALL guild OOC rules., I understand that though my application may be approved that I must still pass the 'initial interview/RP'
08 - Character Description = Rake Wright is at the height of 6 feet and 3 inches (6'3) with an average body weight, although slightly thin for his height due to an occasional lack of food to eat that causes him to skip some meals. His silver eyes are always narrowed and keen with an observant look. A cigarette can sometimes be seen on him, but only when he is alone will he light any. His short-cropped hair is as black and dark as midnight. A part of his bang covers his right eye, concealing some of his mysterious, lean face. His deep and seemingly permanent scowling expression, furrowed darkly thin eyebrows, gives off a look of irritation and wariness—not to mention weariness clearly etched in every feature. His face was somewhat pale in contrast to his arms and feet, due to the fact that it had been shadowed from the sun with a straw hat sometimes worn as he worked. When he had been working as a farmer, the outfit that hung on his slim, yet strong semi-muscular frame consisted of a black tee-shirt torn at the right shoulder and thin dark blue jeans with a black belt hanging loosely. He no longer wears those types of clothing.
He was once a farmer, working and living at a desolate and abandoned desert farm in a lone state. He had been raised there ever since he was born, now at the age of 19, with a singly unstable mother who was no more than 16-years-old at the time of his birth. Ever since the day he was born, he could only see black and white colors with the reason unknown. The poverty of his childhood, along with the place he lived in, was the greatest impact in contributing to the development of his current foul personality. He is most known for his short temper and offensively rude attitude. He does not have an opinion about other people, but respects elders of nearly senior age and up quite exceptionally for no reason that he knows of in particular. His silence is often described as an obscene way to keep silent because of the actions that he may take in place of words. Rake will not speak unless he is directly spoken to, or looked to by any elder—or any of whom he admires.
Although he was considered a mean individual, his childhood also made up his love for working, being useful, and wishing to see the world outside of the deserts. It created his hatred toward debts, having to owe another, and not being able to do the act of favors for other people. When his mother had passed on during his tenth youth year, he remained at the farm to work full-time until he was able to pay off debts and bring it to its best. Due to this sort of lifestyle, he is bad at communicating with people and had become obsessed with perfecting the things he is good at.
There was a time he left his—albeit hated—home, in exploration of something of the outside world on one trip the month after his mother passed, and discovered the technology of computers and engineering. He was able to buy one of his own, and having learned all its mysteries, threw in technology as one of his best interests. He took it back “home” with him and has never parted it from the house once. Coincidentally, he learned about another growing interest through the computer: space. He was immediately taken with the outer world of galaxies and stars, as well as the airplane-like star- and spaceships, having never really stopped to watch the stars before—of course, the reason being that he always went right to sleep after collapsing on the bed at night.
The two interests became his top and foremost goals, to take either one as a life fulfilling career. However, soon, he learned of the possibility of having both in a combination as a career. Thus, he had set out to bring the farm up to the best of his ability and be rid of it. He was finally able to sell it and attempt to work his way up on his two main interests of engineering and space.

09 - Sample RP post = Rake Wright stared at the tangled wires in his slightly muddy hands as if that was enough to untangle and organize them. He had been told to clean the floor under the tables of the small room, where a mix of cables were in a twist of snarled webs. The one who ordered him said that he was allowed to unplug them in order to disentangle them. The difficulty of the situation was that he had no idea where the plugs were located, hidden somewhere beneath the pile of cords.
Growing frustrated by the second, he threw down the wires presently in his hands in disgust. They expected him to untangle all of this? Clean the floor? How is this a part of the engineering profession? Are they even taking him seriously? Motivated by anger, he thrust his right hand into a random, empty spot between two wires of the pile and seemed to accidentally push a button of some sort. The lights suddenly turned off.
Fueled into action, he removed his hand in a panic and began pulling apart some of the thick ropes as his eyes adjusted to the complete darkness. An idea had come to him right before he had hit the button, and now he tried it in the dark since he knew there was no way to find the button again. Prying different wires that were together into separate divisions all around, he finally felt he was able to freely disentangle each individual one. First, he had to find that button again. Searching through the wires, putting his arms through empty air between cords, was easier now that he had pulled some apart. His pinky finger found what felt like a switch and he quickly pressed it with the one finger, not risking losing the switch by using his other fingers.
The lights returned and he sighed at his own temper and what it made him do. His eyes readjusted to his normal black and white vision. He saw that the wires did not look so hopelessly tangled anymore and in elation, but with careful ease, untangled the more complicated knots.
He perhaps understood why the one who had ordered him to do this assigned him to clear and clean the wires now. He referenced the whole situation of the past 5 minutes into his memory and hoped it taught him a lesson. He had learned that he wasn’t nearly as capable as he first thought.

10 - Abilitiys/Skills/Strengths = He is best at close-range combat, average at distant battling, knowledgeable and willing—as well as hoping—to learn on computer works, keen in observation skills and known for thinking before acting most of the time. He prefers to and is best at working alone, is very—some might say “too”—focused with any task he does, and is strong in both upper and lower body muscles due to his previous occupation. He is a man, seemingly a youth, who is constantly witty, aware, and able to hide emotions with ease, as well as very understanding of elders. He is a good person to trust or give secrets to, even if unintentionally.
11 - Weaknesses = He is in his worst conditions on windy or exceptionally hot days, without at least one smoke in a week, and at night—when he has been completely exhausted after the full day, each and every second, of work. He cannot see colors other than black and white. It also doesn’t help his eyesight very well with his incessant staring at one thing and one thing only. He is far too focused on work and tasks and too short-tempered. Although he is not as heartless as he thinks, he is very unwilling to admit it—and to his ability to feel emotions. He lacks social skills, is slightly narrow-minded—although not too much, as he knows it isn’t always right to be—and always thinks he is right in everything. When he is wrong, he will do as much as own up to it—and that is all he will do—as long as there is evidence of the fact.
12 - Other = Note: The name "Rake" for this character does not apply in any way to the word "rake" or its definition.
